Rating by category:
I thought it was the nicest hotel I have stayed at. I am well travelled but this was the nicest room I have had.
Was a special occasion that deserved somewhere lovely to stay
The TV was difficult to work - had to get a staff member to assist. Would prefer an earlier check in time
I was convenient to that part ogf Wellington where I was doing business.
I was sorry that I couldnt get a room until mid-afternoon. The problem here is that people from out of Wellington usually fly in to do their business in the morning. However there are also usually gaps in the schedule for the business day and it would be good to have your room available earlier to use as a base to work from. The alternative is if the Hotel had a business centre where one could go and work and not use the lobby area. Maybe you do have this facility. I should have asked I guess!
the size of the bed and lack of noise so we got a excellent night sleep
lack of tv channels that you could watch before you had to pay for the others. very tiny parks
I was pleased to have a room at the front of the hotel giving me a view towards Te Papa and the harbour.
Not very pleased that my room was next to the laundry, noisy in the morning.
Staff were friendly and responded promptly to all our requests. The room was exactly as expected and we enjoyed a quiet, relaxing night.
The facilities and functionality of studio room were excellent
The common areas, lobbies etc. Great art.
Chintzy interior design in the rooms (personal preference, some people might like this). Generally tired building (especially bathrooms) that has been renovated in a piecemeal / budget manner.
We received outstanding service from Angus during our stay on multiple occasions. He was very helpful with our luggage before & after visit. And he gave excellent directions and suggestions for sight seeing.
I love the atmosphere and decor at the hotel. It has a rich and luxurious feel about it. My husband likes the bikes!
Most impressed with the exceptionally friendly, helpful staff.
Lovely updated room, very comfortable bed and nice sheets. Love the artwork downstairs and the carpet lining the lift walls - gorgeous.
The bed was a double which is a bit small these days. It got very hot at night but I guess we could have opened the window but normally they don't open in hotels.
It was very comfortable and we liked the decor in all the lounges.
Lovely physical space to be in. My room was comfortable and quiet; the lobby is a pleasant place to spend time too. Spectacular art everywhere.
There was a lightbulb not working in my room. Made the light levels very low for working in there. Although I mentioned it at reception, this was not seen to during my stay.
Comfortable room and bed, nice bathroom, good facilities. I told reception there were two lights that did not work and that was fixed very quickly.
